We always price responsibly and we know how frustrating it is when something has been overlooked in the quote. It is not the way we work, we include every single cost in our estimate so there are surprises or unexpected extras.

We take on projects at any stage. Whether you are just starting out and need someone to bring you idea to life, or you have got an architect and drawings but just need someone to build it property, we will adapt to your needs, not the other way around.

THOROUGH PLANNING
We make it our priority to help you spot any potential pitfalls before we even start on site, meaning you get a realistic program of work and your project is delivered to the highest quality, on time, budget & with minimal stress.

WHAT HAPPENS NEXT

STEP 1 We will have an initial call to find out more about your needs and ideas.

STEP 2 We come to visit the site so that we can get a thorough understanding of your requirements.

STEP 3 We prepare a detailed estimate with each job and tasks fully itemized, so you know exactly what you are getting.

STEP 4 Once you are happy to proceed, we agree a programme of works and payments schedule so the works can commence.

STEP 5 We make sure the project remains on time and on budget and that you are always kept up to date.

STEP 6 On completion, we hand over all certificates and guarantees. Within the rectification period, we carry out snagging of any minor defects if needed to make sure you are 100% happy.

CONSTRUCTION PHASE PROCESS

As we have already conducted a thorough design, estimating and planning process, the build runs smoothly to plan, on budget and on time. Our unique cloud second stage process has been made with peace of mind for our customers aiming to bring simplicity to the construction process as well as to eliminate the cost for contract administration. 

Before the construction starts we will draft a standard Building Contract. We will complete a checklist of activities and necessary documentation including Project Management Plan (PMP), bespoke Health and Safety file (H&S), arranging a Building Control inspector, suspending a parking bay for a skip & a trade permit if required. The Building Contract covers the commencement date, handover date, all details agreed on the estimate and payment schedule. The PMP gives a specific time line for each phase from start to completion. Click here to view an example of our PMP. The H&S file include the Construction phase plan for all involved parties to refer and adhere to.

A deposit is payable on signing of contracts. Payments are then only done at each valuation usually twice per month, up to a total of 97% of the total project cost. The remaining 3% will be retained by you, and will only be payable after 30 days on completion of ‘snagging’.

This is an important meeting. Upon your instruction of the Construction Phase, we will arrange a suitable meeting with you at the property with your dedicated Project Manager (PM) and Foreman. This enables us to confirm all of the details and answer any remaining questions you may have for the works.

We will arrange site induction for our tradesman, protection of floors and walls if required, the strip out of any unwanted fixtures and fittings, setting out foundations ready for excavation of the foundations and any other excavation works that may be required.

We will supply quality materials and fittings at all times at a trade price.

An extension usually takes between 12 to 16 weeks. We will, at all times, treat you and your property with the utmost respect and ensure that the construction site remains a safe and healthy environment. During this time your PM will give you regular updates about the works and you can be involved as little or as much as you like.

Our payment policy is built for your peace of mind. We understand that regular payments makes the project run smoothly – you only pay for what you see. We want to make sure that you are absolutely clear before, during and after any works are completed so that you can be sure that you are only paying accordingly to the value added to your property, materials on site and any special orders have been placed in advance.

It is not unusual for you to decide to add a few, or sometimes many extras, after we have started your project. Any additional works are always agreed in writing with a full quote, prior to any job execution. We never charge any costs or start any jobs that have not been previously agreed in writing with you.

When the agreed works have been carried out the project has reached practical completion. You will walk around with your PM and Foreman to check the works and if it required a snagging list* to be created. After the snagging has been carried out we will tidy up the site and remove any waste and tools and then handover.

*Only one snagging list per project.

Style Building works are covered by the most comprehensive insurance available in the construction industry. Any unexpected challenges are covered for your peace of mind.

Once your project is complete we will handover your property clean, tidy and ready for use.

Warranty

FOLLOW-UP – We will follow up with a massage through our unique cloud platform and/or courtesy call 7 days after works have been completed to check how you are getting on with your newly completed project or recent home improvements. Your project will be live in our cloud platform for another year as we want to give you a peace of mind.

16 WEEK INSPECTION – We will contact you and conduct a full inspection 16 weeks after handover to ensure you are fully satisfied with all works.

1 YEAR WARRANTY – Our work is covered by a 1 year warranty on workmanship. Any relevant operating instructions and guarantees will be handed over to you at the time of the handover and you will be properly briefed about any maintenance or operating issues.
